Chile, September 11, 1973. Captain Jorge Silva is a military hero and former member of the secret service, now devoted to the training of cadets. On the fateful hours of the military golpe that deposes and kills President Salvador Allende, he is thrown into an unstoppable spiral of chilling events. Moreover, he is tasked with turning the hangar of the military academy into a blood-stained detention centrefor political prisoners.
Inspired by the real story of Silva, The Red Hangar plunges audiences into a nerve-wracking ride into desperate hours, where the protagonist is hastily faced with life-and-death choices. Director Juan Pablo Sallato, in his feature debut, fashions his terrific moral drama through striking B&W cinematography and a vibrant editing, constantly keeping audiences on the edge of their seat.
