Dumped on her 23rd birthday for being too clingy, anxious Princess Saira (Shabana Azeez) may yet again endure the humiliation of standing in the Singles Zone at the annual Lesbian Ball. The young space princess has led a sheltered life and even holds the title of Most Boring Royal in the History of Clitopolis, where she lives with her glamorous Queen mums. But when a trio of Straight White Maliens kidnaps her ex, Kiki (Bernie Van Tiel), Saira must leave the safety of gay space to rescue her by bringing the Maliens the most powerful weapon known to lesbian kind, the Royal Labrys. However, there is a slight problem… she doesn’t have it.

Travelling in a bigoted spaceship from the 21st century, Saira’s inter-gay-lactic quest is a laugh-out-loud, kinky adventure.

Fans of Adventure Time and Steven Universe will adore the vibrant animation and captivating characters in this rip-roaring debut feature, which won top LGBTQIA+ honours at Berlin this year. — Madison Marshall
