NZIFF 2021 Christchurch edition postponed by one week
My Salinger Year

Tomorrow we are supposed to be celebrating the opening of Whānau Mārama: New Zealand International Film Festival 2021 in Christchurch with Dame Jane Campion's The Power of the Dog.

However, following the Government announcement that Covid-19 is present in Christchurch, we are postponing the festival by one week.

We have worked with our venue partners, the Isaac Theatre Royal and Lumière Cinemas, and secured alternative dates and will now open NZIFF Christchurch 2021 on Friday 5 November.

Films will remain at same time and venue, just seven days later than the original session. For those of you who are still choosing your films, the schedule reflecting revised dates and ticket sales will be back online within 36 hours.

We have rescheduled to keep our friends and audiences in Christchurch safe and feeling secure to attend our physically distanced screenings.

We look forward to seeing you all in just one week's time. Meanwhile, look after each other and stay safe.
