On Monday 11th July we celebrated our printed programme with a celebration at the beautiful Embassy Theatre in Wellington. The NZIFF Wellington whānau packed out the Embassy Theatre and loved our programme, as well as our sponsor products.
We are proud of our programme and always love being at the Embassy Theatre.
There were wonderful speeches from Sally Woodfield (General Manager), Michael McDonnell (Head of Programming), and Catherine Fitzgerald (Chair). Afterwards, everyone gathered into the cinema to watch Carla Simón's film Summer 1993.
Summer 1993 was in the 2017 NZIFF and is an award-winning dramatisation of Carla Simón's own experience as a six-year-old orphan adjusting to a new life in the country features the most remarkable and mesmerising child performances in years.
