In one of the biggest audience turnouts NZIFF Dunedin has ever seen, the Regent went off like a frog in a sock for the premiere of Life In One Chord. While Shayne himself couldn't be there, the crowd was a who’s who of the Dunedin creative scene, with familiar faces from bands including The Bats, The 3D’s, and Look Blue Go Purple all joining the buzz. Film fans from across the capital flocked to Massey University Theatre on 16 August for screenings of both programmes of Ngā Whanaunga: Aotearoa New Zealand’s Best - aka, the country’s top short films, with a range of coveted prizes announced after the final credits rolled.
