NZIFF and a sold-out Civic Theatre audience celebrated Buster Keaton, the stone-faced genius of silent-era comedy, at his funniest and most thrilling in an exquisite new digital restoration of The General with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra performing the live music accompaniment on Sunday 5 August.

It was a star-studded evening at the world premiere of Hepi Mita's personal documentary Merata: How Mum Decolonised the Screen at ASB Waterfront Theatre.
