Aachi & Ssipak is a gorgeously animated lowbrow action/comedy from Korea that could easily be the bastard love child of Beavis & Butthead and Samurai Jack, with set pieces from Robocop and Terminator thrown in. Set in a future where humans have learnt how to convert human excrement into a rich source of energy, everyone is encouraged to collect their waste in order to power the world. As a reward for this civic duty, the citizenry are given phallic-looking juicy bars - addictive treats that are coveted by the notoriously strung-out Diaper Gang. Aachi and Ssipak are small-time black market juicy bar dealers who save a sex star called Beautiful from the clutches of a sick porno director and the Diaper King. Beautiful has a very special talent - the ability to defecate them all to riches. This jet-propelled, politically incorrect and completely vulgar spectacle also features a riotously entertaining smorgasbord of jaw-dropping excesses, while poking a few jabs at contemporary governing bodies and the need for social control.
