Meet the Filmmakers in Christchurch
New Zealand filmmakers will be present at selected screenings in Christchurch to introduce their films and answer questions following the sessions.
Note: Unfortunately due to travel restrictions Annie Goldson was unable to travel to Christchurch for her planned Q&A.
Amy Taylor, Chris Huriwai & Suzy Amis Cameron — MILKED
Amy Taylor's debut feature documentary Soul in the Sea premiered at NZIFF 2013, won awards internationally, and was nominated at the prestigious Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. Amy is the owner of Ahimsa Films and has worked with non-profit organisations involved in environmental and social justice movements for more than 20 years. Chris Huriwai (Ngāpuhi, Ngati Porou, Te Ātiawa) is an animal rights activist and vegan advocate. He's the co-founder of the animal rights project Aotearoa Liberation League, and is passionate about te ao Māori and using veganism as a decolonial tool. Executive producer Suzy Amis Cameron will join the conversation.

Luit & Jan Bieringa — Signed, Theo Schoon
Luit Bieringa, the art historian, gallery director, curator and photography specialist, added filmmaking to his bow in 2006 and together with Jan they have made five feature documentaries around art, education, culture. All five films premiered at NZIFF and continue to be screened widely.
