On Sunday 11 August, experts across the spectrum of true crime investigating came together at the Light House Cuba screening of The Speedway Murders for a post-film Q+A, then to Southern Cross Garden Bar and Restaurant for a panel discussion.
These experts discussed the ethics of working in the space and the moral responsibilities to be upheld when dealing with victims, or families of the victims, of what can often be incredibly traumatic experiences. With special guests, directors Adam Kamien and Luke Rynderman (The Speedway Murders, NZIFF 2024) and panellist James Hollings and chair Laura Walters.
