As the days get darker the warm haven of a comfortable cinema feels to us like the perfect respite. We like to think that NZIFF is a beacon in the mist of your winter, bringing you different worlds to explore in the company of friends and strangers. We continue to celebrate the shared experience of movie-going and our poster this year shows different people coming in out of the rain, for the occasion of NZIFF 2017.

Illustrator Tom Simpson worked with designer Ponui Patuaka to create the poster that represents NZIFF 2017.

Last year we accommodated over 248,000 attendees at NZIFF. We can’t wait to introduce you to the line-up of films and filmmakers at NZIFF this year and we look forward to hosting you in July, August or September at a cinema near you.
