Tim van Dammen

Tim van Dammen is a Masters graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts. Whilst touring his band 'Collapsing Cities' throughout the UK in 2008 he used his visual arts skills to create music videos. Returning to NZ in 2009 Tim has become one of NZ's most prolific music video directors working with many top New Zealand artists.

In 2009 he was nominated for best director for his video 'Turn Around' for Sola Rosa. In 2010 Tim was nominated for six 'Juice TV Video Awards' for which he won 'best electronic video' for the Kids Of 88 song 'Just A Little Bit'. This video also went on to win Tim the best director 'Tui' that year.

Since then Tim has made several other music videos (over 140) through his production company 'Blur and Sharpen' and written, produced and directed his first feature film Romeo and Juliet: A Love Song. It has its world premiere at the 2013 NZFF.
