The concept came fully formed in a sketch from designer Matt Bluett at Ocean Design. Sydney-based Kiwi illustrator Blair Sayer was furnished with reference material on the characters. We think he made a great job of mixing them up into a typically fabulous NZIFF gathering. 

A Wellington School of Design graduate, Blair Sayer has been a freelance illustrator for just over 20 years. In 2010 he moved across the ditch and shortly after joined the Sydney studio of Watermark.
