NZIFF Brings International Cinema to Timaru

Movie Max Digital Cinemas will become the home of NZIFF in Timaru with screenings between 14 and 24 August, coinciding with the Christchurch leg of NZIFF.

We’re very excited to expand NZIFF to Timaru this year. We will now screen in 12 towns and cities around NZ, and we look forward to sharing the best of international cinema with wider audiences,” says NZIFF Director Bill Gosden.

Audiences in Timaru will have access to the latest films from around the world, including titles straight from Cannes. All films are NZ premieres, and in some cases world premieres. The first four confirmed titles for the 2014 national programme have been revealed this month, with more announcements to follow over the next few weeks.

“We are very proud to be hosting the New Zealand International Film Festival this year. There will be a great selection of films on offer and we are looking forward to our community supporting the event so that we can make Timaru a regular stop on NZIFF’s calendar,” says Movie Max Digital Cinemas Manager Rob Jeromson.

The full programme will be announced in late June.
